Having read the other reviews here, I have to give my two cents worth. This book is about research and statistics -- a difficult subject at best. Yet this author manages to make the subject readable, understandable, and even pleasant (at times; I'm not Pollyanna.) There are plenty of boxes and associated material to break up the reading and provide useful examples. I really like the "Voices from the Field" that starts each chapter with a story about that particular aspect of research. There are a lot of definitions in the book, but I needed them. There seems to be a lot of jargon in research and so I found the definitions in the margins helpful. The text is easy to read and is organized and progresses logically. It's as if someone is explaining research to you over a cup of coffee, and I found it a helpful resource. I had to buy it for a class, but I'm keeping it for a reference. And the online resources are reallly good. Overall, I think it's a good book on a hard subject, so keep that in mind.
