This book is not for people who do not understand statistics because there are typos in the book on important things such as definitions, answers to stats formulas, and in addition, the associated on-line grading chapter questions. Page 39 is just one example. The explanation of a Z-score has a typo. Below that, the example formula of a T-score is incorrect. Trying to figure this stuff out has been beyond frustrating. I do not recommend this book until they fix the published errors.By Linda S. Decker
I purchased a copy of Appraisal Procedures for Counselors and Helping Professionals by Robert J. Drummond in order to review for the National Counselor Exam. It had been a number of years since I had taken a class in appraisal and I felt that I needed to brush up on the terms and basic principles. I found this book to be very helpful. The material is presented in an easy to understand format. I was worried about the appraisal section on the NCE. After reviewing this book, I felt much more confidnet about being successful on the appraisal section of the test. I recently took the NCE and passed. And, I actually did ok on the appraisal questions. I would recommend this book as an excellent review.By Linda Mattox
