I really wish my nursing program would end its love affair with this LWW published junk. Boyd is a horrible author, and the editors of the book must be even worse. The book contains many errors in grammar and also contradicts itself frequently. I feel the book could have been written in about half the amount of pages if Boyd didn't constantly repeat herself and provide information that is not beneficial in passing the course exams and the NCLEX. The end of the chapter only provides a small summary of key points, "critical thinking challenges" that do not provide you answers, and movie recommendations. The book contains NO NCLEX style questions and answers, probably because LWW wants you to spend even more money with them buying their other products offered in book and online form (those are also horrible too just for the record).

This book was an interesting read. The graphics were interesting and helped to provide a visual depiction of the particular disease.
