If you don't need to carry your pharmacopoeia in your pocket, this is the reference to have. I love the larger size and the additional information regarding mechanism of action and adverse effects.

I have used the shirt pocket version for over 10 years-the only book I carry with me. However, I found that my aging eyes were having problems reading the print so I got this version. It is about 10X the size of the shirt pocket version so I keep it my work area while I am seeing patients in the ER. Not only is the print bigger but there is a lot of useful information included which is worth the increased size.

Last year, I had bought the 2012 Deluxe Lab Coat edition and this had the same information and content as the Professional Desk Reference but alas the print size is the same as the Pocket Edition, so I needed to purchase the larger print Desk Reference Edition for my poor aging eyes.
