Purchased for a basic toxicology class in which the professor explained little. I turned to the textbook the first week and found that it uses many terms that I was not familiar with... not what I expected for a "essentials book". Not recommended for a non-tox major.

This is a handy desktop reference for my job in toxicology. I am already familiar with the basic principles of health, biology, and toxicology and this reads like a textbook to me, but it is very handy when I want to look up specific information.
